Journal of Organic Agriculture, published by Springer



The journal Organic Agriculture is a multidisciplinary journal aiming to publish outstanding research papers on organic agriculture and related food systems. The journal also includes invited critical reviews on topical issues, and concept notes for the development of organic agriculture and related research. The journal covers the principles and practice of organic agriculture and food systems encouraging papers that provide a systemic, participatory, and interdisciplinary approach to the subject and those proposing innovations beyond current standards or practices. Early-career studies of high scientific quality are particularly welcome.

For members with free access for papers: Recently, we are in new contract negotiations with Springer publisher. If you have interest in special papers for free download, please ask us with the title of the paper and the number of the issue. We will send it to you via email. As soon as possible, we will try to give access to the journal with free downloads again.

Open Access Notice:

Springer Nature has recently undertaken an annual review of our article processing charges (APC) across our entire open access portfolio, to ensure that the APCs remain fair for our authors. The review considered a number of factors including the time and investment required with publishing in a particular journal, ensuring author expectation of turnaround time is met, making sure that the article is properly indexed and shared, and that other author services can be developed and delivered.

Based on this review, in 2021 the open access APC for Organic Agriculture will increase by ~1% to 2190 EUR / 2780 USD / 1890 GBP. The 2021 price will be updated on our website in October this year, and will be applied to manuscripts in January 2021.
